Since our establishment in 2024, Sam Veasna Conservation Stays has worked to develop community-based ecotourism experiences that place conservation and local people at the heart of every journey.

Rather than treating tourism as an end in itself, our model ensures that every visitor contributes to protecting Cambodia's biodiversity while supporting communities that have lived alongside these landscapes for generations.

Conservation Experiences That Make a Difference

Today, Sam Veasna Conservation Stays operates two flagship conservation products in Cambodia.

Jahoo – Keo Seima Wildlife Sanctuary

Nestled within Keo Seima Wildlife Sanctuary in Mondulkiri Province, Jahoo offers one of Cambodia's most authentic and meaningful wildlife experiences. Developed in partnership with the Indigenous Bunong community of Andoung Kraloeng, Jahoo combines world-class wildlife encounters with community-led conservation and scientific research.

The experience is best known for its opportunity to observe the Southern Yellow-cheeked Crested Gibbon, one of the world's rarest primates, in its natural habitat. Visitors begin their journey before sunrise, trekking through the evergreen forest alongside experienced local guides and researchers to witness the gibbons' spectacular morning "Songs" calls as they move through the forest canopy.

Beyond gibbon tracking, Jahoo introduces visitors to one of Cambodia's richest forest ecosystems. Guests may encounter critically-engaged black-shanked doucs, hornbills, woodpeckers, , reptiles, and a wide variety of other wildlife while learning about tropical forest ecology, biodiversity conservation, and ongoing scientific monitoring within the sanctuary.

Jahoo is more than a wildlife tour. It is a community-led conservation initiative where tourism directly supports both people and nature. Indigenous Bunong community members are trained and employed as wildlife guides, cooks, hospitality staff, and conservation ambassadors, allowing tourism revenue to remain within the community.

Every visitor also contributes to a community-managed conservation fund, which supports local development while creating additional incentives to protect endangered wildlife and their habitats. By linking tourism with conservation outcomes, Jahoo demonstrates how responsible tourism can generate lasting benefits for biodiversity, local livelihoods, and cultural heritage.

Kriel Lodge by Tmat Paeuy Community

Located in Tmat Paeuy village, Preah Vihear Province, within Kulen Promtep Wildlife Sanctuary, Kriel Lodge by Tmat Paeuy Community offers a unique blend of comfort, nature, and conservation in one of Southeast Asia's most important bird conservation landscapes.

ស្ថិតនៅក្នុង ដែនជម្រកសត្វព្រៃកែវសីមា ខេត្តមណ្ឌលគិរី Jahoo គឺជាបទពិសោធន៍ទេសចរណ៍ធម្មជាតិដ៏ពិសេសមួយរបស់កម្ពុជា ដែលត្រូវបានអភិវឌ្ឍឡើងដោយសហការជាមួយសហគមន៍ជនជាតិដើមភាគតិចព្នងនៅភូមិអណ្ដូងក្រឡឹង។ ទីនេះរួមបញ្ចូលគ្នារវាងការអភិរក្សសត្វព្រៃ ការស្រាវជ្រាវបែបវិទ្យាសាស្ត្រ និងការអភិវឌ្ឍសហគមន៍តាមរយៈវិស័យទេសចរណ៍។

Kriel Lodge by Tmat Paeuy Community ស្ថិតនៅក្នុងភូមិត្មាតប៉ើយ ខេត្តព្រះវិហារ ក្នុង ដែនជម្រកសត្វព្រៃគូលែនព្រហ្មទេព ដែលជាតំបន់អភិរក្សសត្វស្លាបដ៏សំខាន់បំផុតមួយនៅអាស៊ីអាគ្នេយ៍។ នៅទីនេះ ភ្ញៀវអាចទទួលបានទាំងបទពិសោធន៍ស្នាក់នៅប្រកបដោយផាសុកភាព និងការស្វែងយល់អំពីការអភិរក្សធម្មជាតិ ក្នុងពេលតែមួយ។
